Michael Sherwin
Flux and Form
September 7 - October 1, 2006
Opening Reception: 5-8pm
First Thursday, September 7, 2006
Flux and Form encompasses photo-based installations,
videos, and hand-made books that investigate subtle phenomena
of the natural world through different forms of cataloguing
and mediation. Using repetition and association as a means to
explore his subjects, Sherwin suggests relationships between
disparate subjects, and challenges the boundaries of the photographic
image.
Central Washington University’s new Professor of Photography,
Michael Sherwin first moved to the Northwest in 1999, and in
2004 received his MFA in photography from the University of
Oregon. His work has won numerous awards and has been exhibited
and published widely at the national level.
Hours: Noon-5pm Friday-Sunday, or
by appointment.
Next Exhibition: Jen
