Statement

In today's world of rising expectations, I am somehow overwhelmed by what I have yet to achieve in my role as a female. More so, am I a passive empty vehicle through which advertisers and wider cultural influences can inject a particular want or an active individual who is making choices and fulfilling personal desires? I long to play the traditional female role and simultaneously reject the notions of femininity it thrusts upon me. My work is an examination of these longings for domesticity.
