About the event
October signals a time of change and a time to reflect. It serves as a
harbinger of winter's chill and bids farewell to the fruits and folly
of summertime, and October marks the unofficial month for fundraising
for the visual arts in Seattle. PUNCH is no exception to this notable
trend, however they decided to offer a twist to the tried and true.
Instead of hosting a wine auction, a carwash, or a
bake sale, PUNCH offered up an entire collection of art by its members
to ONE LUCKY WINNER. The collection was on display at PUNCH Gallery for
the month of October. Seasoned collectors and budding and virginal art
enthusiasts alike, tested their odds, flirted with fate, made pacts
with the devil, and once again, believed in Hope.

- Help us to provide more opportunities to
a broader range of artists

work free from the constraints of commercialism
- Encourage the creation of work that is
thoughtful, fearless, and fresh
