About the event

October signals a time of change and a time to reflect. It serves as a harbinger of winter's chill and bids farewell to the fruits and folly of summertime, and October marks the unofficial month for fundraising for the visual arts in Seattle. PUNCH is no exception to this notable trend, however they decided to offer a twist to the tried and true.

Instead of hosting a wine auction, a carwash, or a bake sale, PUNCH offered up an entire collection of art by its members to ONE LUCKY WINNER. The collection was on display at PUNCH Gallery for the month of October. Seasoned collectors and budding and virginal art enthusiasts alike, tested their odds, flirted with fate, made pacts with the devil, and once again, believed in Hope.

Donations be used to:

  • Reduce member dues
  • Help us to provide more opportunities to a broader range of artists
  • Provide a place for artists to exhibit work free from the constraints of commercialism
  • Encourage the creation of work that is thoughtful, fearless, and fresh

Every $10 donation received one entry ticket and a chance to win the entire exhibition!

This exhibition closed, the sweepstakes offer ended, and the winner was drawn, at 5 p.m. on October 31, 2009 at PUNCH Gallery.

The drawing ceremony was open to the public.

One lucky person wins the entire exhibition!
